The original village is in the second cove and here with its excellent sandy and pebbly beach and its crystal clear waters a great place for swimming or water sports you will find most of the hotels, tavernas and shops as well as a small harbour where you can book a daytrip by boat to Rethymnon and Santorini. The third cove known as Paradise Beach is the best for swimming and is very popular with holiday makers. In the centre of Bali there are excellent sea food restaurants as well as tavernas and cafes. Near Bali there's the Monastery of Agios Ioannis with frescoes in the church of the Monastery.
Bali located approx 20km from Rethymnon is an attractive pleasant little seaside resort set around three small coves. The first has a pebbly beach with a luxury hotel and several tavernas.
