There are some lovely waterfront tavernas serving good quality seafood as well as traditional food. In the town centre there are also several good restaurants, a few cafes, bars and shops. Kolimbari is appealing more to those looking for a quieter holiday destination. Located 1km to the north is the 17th century Gonia Monastery and today has important and precious post-Byzantine icons and other religious treasures. In the area the Sea Turtle breeds and it’s nesting sites are protected.
